Terry SalsAlianza was born in the Paris region and moved to his native Guadeloupe at the age of 8. A passionate dancer from an early age, he quickly excelled in traditional Creole dances as well as hip hop and other popular styles. At the age of 19, he discovered salsa, which marked a decisive turning point in his life. Thanks to his passion and intensive training, he became Guadeloupe salsa champion at the age of 23. Invited to teach at the prestigious Isis Figaro school in Paris, he established himself as a talented dancer and teacher.
Cécile Ovide, originally from Martinique, met Terry at the Isis Figaro school of tropical Latin dance, where she teaches. With her remarkable talent, she joined a number of dance companies, specializing in Casino salsa, N.Y. Style and L.A. Style. Her meeting with Terry marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration.
Together, Terry and Cécile joined the world-renowned U Tribe troupe before founding their own dance school, SalsAlianza, in Paris in August 2007. Their school flourishes as their dance careers continue to blossom. Their impressive and moving shows have taken them to some of the world's biggest salsa stages. Today, Terry and Cécile take part in the world's biggest salsa festivals, offering workshops and top-quality shows, forging an international reputation in the dance world.
